Benefit concert Five area church choirs will join for "Choirs Sing for a Cure" at 2 p.m. at Bethany United Methodist Church, 2875 Bethany Lane. The concert includes music by the choirs of Bethany United Methodist Church, Bethel Baptist Church, Linden-Linthicum United Methodist Church, Glenelg United Methodist Church and Glen Mar United Methodist Church. Children's event The Wilde Lake Community Association will hold its annual "Breakfast and More with Santa" on Dec. 1 at Slayton House, 10400 Cross Fox Lane in Columbia. Breakfast seating is at 9 a.m., and lunch seatings are offered at 11:30 a.m. Cartoons will be shown, and each child will get a private visit and photograph with Santa. The "Secret Shop" for children only will also be open, and Santa's elves will help any child who wants to buy inexpensive gifts for the family. Gift wrapping is free.
