A 1-Mile Zombie Walk and 5K Race will be held at Marriotts Ridge High School on Oct. 31 and will feature prizes for runners as well as costumed participants.
The race starts at 9 a.m. at the school, 12100 Woodford Drive, Marriottsville. Prizes range from cash awards and gift cards to certificates for food services as well as other tricks and treats. Trophies will be awarded to the top two runners in more than 10 categories.
Register online at mrhs-boosters.com/stampede09fall before Tuesday for $20 to participate in either event and receive a commemorative T-shirt. Families registering before Tuesday will be charged a maximum of $60 for all participants. Registration will be accepted after Tuesdayfor an additional $5.
