Two pickup trucks collided in northern Harford County Thursday morning, sending both drivers to the hospital.

The accident happened around 10 a.m. at the intersection of Route 440 (Dublin Road) and Scarboro Road in the Street area.

Maryland State Police said a 2011 Toyota Tacoma pickup, driven by Heidi Lynn Mueller, 31, was broadsided by a 2004 GMC Sierra driven by William Lewis Shannihan, 74.

Mueller was taken to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air for precautionary measures because "she is pregnant and due to have the baby Monday," Trooper Decker of the Maryland State Police Bel Air Barrack said. Shannihan was taken to Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore with non-life threatening injuries.

The preliminary investigation indicates "Mueller failed to yield while entering the intersection and was subsequently broadsided by Shannihan," Decker wrote in an e-mail.

No further details were available.
