Driver injured when motorcycle hits rear end of horse trailer near Whiteford

The driver of a motorcycle was injured Monday evening when he ran into the back of a horse trailer on Route 136 near Whiteford.

A Dodge pickup towing a horse trailer was headed south on Route 136 south of Peach Orchard Road around 5:45 p.m., according to Cpl. Dudek of the Maryland State Police Bel Air Barrack.

The driver was turning right into his driveway.

A man in his mid-40s was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle in the area and failed to slow down in time and hit the rear of the horse trailer, Dudek said.

He was flown by Medevac helicopter to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with non-life-threatening injuries, he said.
