Woman injured after fall from horse in Jarrettsville

A woman was airlifted Sunday afternoon after being thrown from a horse in Jarrettsville.

Lt. Cody Klapka of the Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company, said personnel were called to the scene in the 2000 block of High Point Road around 2:30 p.m.

The victim was placed on a Maryland State Police rescue helicopter, which landed at the scene, Klapka said.
