In a Thursday-night swim meet at Magnolia Middle School, the Fallston Cougars boys and girls squads combined for a pair of victories, defeating Joppatowne, 127-42, and Edgewood, 122-64.

Edgewood came out on top of its competition with Joppatowne, 112-61.

Fallston's Andrew Lagan took two victories, winning the boys 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly.

Emily Hoyt helped out the winning cause with two individual wins, taking first in the girls 500-yard freestyle and 200-yard freestyle.

Julia Rose took top finishes in the girls 100-yard breaststroke and 50-yard freestyle for the Fallston team.

The Cougars' Rachel D'Anna won the girls 100-yard butterfly and the 100-yard backstroke.

Fallston's Grant Wagner won the boys 200-yard freestyle and Ryan Hutchens raced to a top showing in the boys 200-yard medley event.

James Appel notched a first-place finish in the boys 100-yard freestyle, while Erin McClelland won the girls 100-yard freestyle for Fallston.

Fallston's Dylan Heil took first in the boys 100-yard backstroke.

Edgewood's Sam Verk beat the field in two individual events, winning the boys 100-yard breaststroke and 500-yard freestyle.

Madelyn Miller beat all comers in the girls 200-yard medley for Edgewood.

Fallston's team of D'Anna, Hoyt, Rose and Rebekah Paradis took first in the girls 200-yard medley relay.

The Cougar crew of Appel, Heil, Lagan and Michael Dillon swam to a first-place finish in the boys 400-yard freestyle relay, while the girls event was won by the team of Hoyt, D'Anna, McClelland and Elizabeth Massetti.

McClelland, Paradis, Rose and Nicole Lagan teamed up to knock off the field in the girls 200-yard freestyle relay, while Hutchens, Appel, Dakota Neubert and Brent McGuire took first in the boys race.

Edgewood's boys 200-yard medley relay team of Verk, Stephen Siedlecki, Max Coleman and Sonny Holquist won the boys 200-yard medley relay event.
