Man struck by lightning while in garage in Fallston

A man was taken to a hospital after being struck by lightning while he was closing his garage door in Fallston Wednesday night, Harford County fire and rescue officials reported.

The injury was reported at about 10:15 p.m. during an intense line of storms in the 3200 block of Canterbury Lane, off Hess Road, the Harford County Volunteer Fire & EMS Association reported on its media Facebook Page.

"The lightning strike was on the outside of the residence and went through the garage striking the patient, who at the time was in the garage of the residence," the association reported.
