The Harford Community College women's basketball team (16-4, 8-1 MD JUCO) claimed a 71-63 conference win over Allegany last Wednesday. The road team was led by the nation's leading scorer, Capree Garner, for the 14th time this season.
Garner got back in the swing of things with a game-high 35-point effort. She added five rebounds and four steals in the road win.
Chrineicia Tedder netted a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds, while Monique Cheek chipped in with 12 points, six boards and five assists.
The Fighting Owls travel to Baltimore City today (Wednesday) for a 5:30 p.m. Region XX contest.
HCC men lose
The Harford men's basketball team dropped its MD JUCO road game at Allegany last Wednesday, 66-55.
Sophomore Telvonne Lambert (Harford Tech) led the Fighting Owls with 13 points, but Harford struggled from the line, shooting just five-for-15 and from behind the arc, four-for-30.
