Fallston gets back in girls volleyball win column Wednesday

The Fallston girls volleyball team returned to the win column Wednesday, beating visiting C. Milton Wright, 3-0, in UCBAC Chesapeake Division action. The scores were 25-10, 25-19 and 25-23.

The Cougars (5-1 league, 5-2 overall) were led by Phoenix Offutt, seven kills, six blocks and Brittany Callahan with six kills. Emily Mozal put up 23 assists, while Anna Holehouse and Asia Avena contributed six digs each.

CMW slipped to 2-3 and 2-4.

Cobras beat Mariners

Harford Tech (4-2, 4-2) defeated host Joppatowne, 3-0, in Susquehanna Division action Wednesday. Scores were 25-3, 25-18 and 25-13.

Leading Tech were Jamie Tubao, 14 assists, one kill; Jenna Hathazi, one ace, three assists, two kills; Alyssa Hockaday, five aces, five kills; Karizma Hockaday, one ace, two kills; and Amber Olson, three kills.

Panthers beat Warriors

The Perryville Panthers and Havre de Grace Warriors met Wednesday in a Susquehanna Division girls volleyball match. The host Panthers won the match in straight sets, 3-0.

Scores were 25-19, 25-11 and 25-22.

Perryville's match leaders were Morgan Tennant, 25 assists, 12 service points, five aces, five kills; Emily Merklinger, 15 kills; Rachel Bell, 11 service points, five digs; and Kylie Shiflett, five kills.

Others scores

Patterson Mill (3-3, 3-4) lost at Bo Manor, 3-0, in Susquehanna play.

The scores were 15-25, 17-25 and 11-25.

Edgewood (1-5, 1-5) was swept at Aberdeen (5-1, 6-1), 3-0, in Susquehanna play.

The scores were 25-19, 25-22 and 25-10.

Bel Air (4-1, 6-1) won at North East, 3-0, in Chesapeake play.

The scores were 25-22, 25-18 and 25-15.
