Girls volleyball teams were back on the court Monday with a full UCBAC schedule.
Leading the winners were the Fallston Cougars, who took down visiting Elkton in straight sets of their Chesapeake (upper) Division match. The scores were 25-18, 25-13 and 25-8.
The Cougars leaders were Phoenix Offutt and Lauren Woollen, each with seven kills. Emily Mozal had 22 assists, while Anna Holehouse and Asia Avena led with six digs and four aces each.
Rams beat Mariners
Edgewood was also a 3-0 winner, beating host Joppatowne in Susquehanna (lower) Division action. The scores were 25-14, 25-17 and 25-19.
Kelsey Swann led the Rams with seven aces and five assists, while Alexis McCoy added five aces and three kills. Harmony Welsh finished with five aces and Breanna Barber notched three kills.
Outstanding defense was played by Liz Padin, Shannon Bowman and Cassandra Rogers, according to Rams head coach Sarah Friedman.
Bobcats beat Hawks
Bel Air kept the 3-0 winners going by sweeping host North Harford in Chesapeake play. The scores were 25-19, 25-14 and 25-13.
Celeste Roland highlighted the win, serving 12 straight points and adding 14 kills.
Cobras beat Panthers
Harford Tech needed four sets to put away host Perryville in Susquehanna play. The Cobras won the first two sets, 25-19 and 25-21, but Perryville avoided the sweep with its 25-19 win in set three. The Cobras, though, closed out the match in set four, 25-19.
Leading the Cobras were Alyssa Hockaday, five kills, two blocks; Karizma Hockaday, one ace, two kills, one block; Amber Olson, eight kills, three blocks; Ashley Huster, five aces, six kills; Jamie Tubao, three aces, two kills, 10 assists; and Jenna Hathazi, five assists, one ace and one kill.
Leading Perryville were Morgan Tennant, 18 assists, nine aces; Caitlin Davidson, 12 digs; Kaylan Smith, six digs; and Emily Merklinger, 10 kills.
Warriors fall at Bo Manor
Havre de Grace dropped its Susquehanna match at Bo Manor, 3-0. Bo Manor's winning scores were 25-17, 25-18 and 25-19.
Leading Havre de Grace in the loss, Ashley Algard served 10 points and added seven kills, while Elisa Rivera served 11 points and had four kills. Rebecca Ashman added 20 service points and seven kills.
Hawks edge Cobras
Friday the 13th brought just one girls volleyball match on the schedule, with Harford Tech making a visit to North Harford for an UCBAC non-division contest.
The Cobras, under former Hawks coach Sheri Billings, won the first two sets, 25-17 and 25-23, but North Harford won the next three sets to win the match, 3-2. The scores were 25-21, 25-14 and 16-14.
