Two people were arrested earlier this week and charged in connection with a burglary at a Fallston home, the Harford County Sheriff's Office said.
Sheriff's detectives arrested Joseph H. Wright, 32, of the 2900 block of Andover Road in Forest Hill, and Krystal M. Derlunas, 29, of the 2600 block of Kenwood Drive in Joppa, on Wednesday for a burglary that occurred in the 1400 block of Falls Crest Drive in Fallston, the Sheriff's Office said in a news release Friday.
Both have been charged with one count of first-degree burglary and one count of theft between $1,000 and $10,000, according to court records
Using surveillance, the Sheriff's Office release said, detectives tracked the pair as they went to several houses in Forest Hill and Fallston. Residents at some of these locations provided descriptions of Wright and his vehicle, according to the release.
Residents also told investigators that the male suspect would approach the residence with a leash in his hand asking if they had seen his lost dog., while the female suspect would wait in the vehicle, the news release states.
Detectives were also able to place Wright and Derlunas in the area of the burglary on Falls Crest Drive, the Sheriff's Office said. After detectives confirmed the burglary, both suspects were taken into custody with the assistance of the Baltimore County Police Department in the area of Harford and Fork Roads, over the Baltimore County line.
Wright is being held without bail at the Harford County Detention Center. Derlunas was released on a $50,000 bond.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
