Harford County Dels. Pat McDonough and Rick Impallaria, along with volunteer firefighters and community groups, will once again host a flag-waving remembrance tribute to the victims and families of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
Wednesday is the 12th anniversary of that tragic day in New York City, the Pentagon and on a grassy field in Pennsylvania where nearly 3,000 died.
The annual memorial event is open to the public and will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. on the Route 152 overpass at I-95 in Joppa. There will be plenty of free parking at the park and ride lot on Mountain Road (Route 152).
"We encourage people to bring their families, friends and flags on Wednesday, Sept. 11th," the two delegates said in a joint news release.
