Pedestrian killed in Route 40 crash

A pedestrian was struck and killed in an accident on Route 40 near the border between Baltimore and Harford counties late Thursday.

The fatal crash occurred around 10 p.m. in the 12400 block of Pulaski Highway, near Little Gunpowder River, according to Baltimore County police and fire. The patient was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.

Pulaski Highway was closed at Joppa Farm Road. Route 7 and Interstate 95 are alternate routes.
