A Harford County man accused of stabbing his roommate multiple times in a fight over a cellphone Friday has been charged with first degree assault and attempted second degree murder, the sheriff's office said.
Antoine Eugene Parker-Washington, 27, from Abingdon was being held on a $500,000 bond following the charges in connection with the stabbing of his roommate, Michael Darren Thomas, 27.
Deputies responded to the pair's apartment in the Woodsdale complex shortly before 10 p.m. and found Thomas suffering multiple stab wounds, officials said. He was treated by paramedics at the scene and flown to University of Maryland Shock Trauma, and his wounds are not believed to be life threatening.
Parker-Washington also complained of injuries, authorities said, and was taken to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center for treatment.
