Patterson Mill dominates Wednesday wrestling tri-meet

The Patterson Mill Huskies made short work of the opposition at Wednesday's three-way wrestling meet, knocking off the host-team North East Indians, 66-9, and the Edgewood Rams, 69-9.

The Huskies won all but four of their 28 matchups, eight of which were decided by forfeits.

In the all-Harford County matchup of Patterson Mill vs. Edgewood, the Huskies' Connor Allmon kicked things off with a pin victory in the 106-pound match.

Patterson Mill's Tom Trzeciak won the 145-pound bout by pin, while teammate Juan Bustamante took the 152-pound bout by pin as well.

Jason Noss won the 160-pound contest for Patterson Mill with a decision over his opponent, and fellow Husky Connor McLeod had a victory by pin in the 182-pound engagement.

The Huskies wrapped up with a trio of pin victories in the three heaviest classes, as Paul Defazio won the 195-pound bout, Eric Eckstein won the 220-pound match, and Mark Rueter took the 285-pound contest.

During the Huskies' matchup with North East, Mark Mossa, who lost his earlier bout with Edgewood's Noel Spencer, won the 120-pound contest by pin.

Chase Tallon won by pin at 126 pound for Patterson Mill, while Trzeciak grabbed another victory by pin in the 145-pound match.

Noss took another win at 160-pounds, and David Mitchell grabbed a victory for the Huskies in the 170-pound match via pin.

McLeod won the 182-pound bout with a pin, while Eckstein and Rueter both took pin victories as well, at 220 and 285 pounds, respectively.

Havre de Grace knocked off at tri-meet

In Wednesday's tri-meet at Bo Manor, the Havre de Grace Warriors were topped by the hosts, 54-24, and by Perryville, 48-36.

The first non-forfeit victory of the evening went to Havre de Grace's Justin Wolbert, who defeated Perryville's Joe McGuigan by pin at the 2:47 mark of the 220-pound bout.

In a 132-pound contest, Havre de Grace's Jacob Sweigart pinned Perryville's T.C. Foster in 30 seconds.

Following a Perryville forfeit at 138 pounds, the Warriors got another victory, this one coming when 145-pound Daniel Peters topped John Witkowski in a little over a minute.

Havre de Grace's contests with the hosts saw Wolbert grab a 3:01 pin victory in the 220-pound bout. Jacob Nuce took the 138-pound bout for Havre de Grace, pinning his opponent in 1:45.
