Blue, Red continue to lead Bel Air women's lacrosse play

Bel Air Women's Summer Lacrosse League play rolled on Thursday at Southampton Middle School with a pair of senior division games.

The league's best two teams, Blue Sharks and Red Solo Cup, were both winners, while Green Ninjas and Gold Minions remained with one win apiece.

The Sharks (7-0) stayed perfect with a easy 13-3 win over the Ninjas (1-6). Paulena Dempsey scored three goals and assisted on another to pace the winners. Jessie Braverman, Ida Ehrhardt, Lauren Kunkel and Marisa Braungart added two goals each for Blue. Valerie Constantino and Amanda Holsclaw also scored goals, while Braverman and Cari Biscoe added an assist each.

Kathleen Plumb provided all of Green's scoring with three unassisted goals.

Goalie Shelby Morris made four saves in the Blue nets, while Grace Deckert had an incredibly busy night for Green, finishing with 16 saves.

Red tops Gold

Red Solo Cup's (5-2) win over Gold Minions (1-6) was by a 10-7 score.

Alora Gullivan and Brooke Prater led Red with three goals apiece. Susie Snee and Robyn Goodman each scored twice. Prater and Snee also had assists.

Kim Eraso led Gold with three goals, while single goals were scored by Megan Holmes, Alexis Susa, Calixta Eraso and Aloise Diedrich.

Keeper Jordon Wagner had 10 saves for Red and goalie Roxanne Diedrich had five saves for Gold.
