The Bel Air Bobcats won Monday's swimming tri-meet at Magnolia Middle School with combined victories over Patterson Mill and Havre de Grace.

The Bobcats topped Havre de Grace, 99-89, and Patterson Mill, 110-78.

Havre de Grace won its matchup with Patterson Mill, 104-84.

James Cousler kicked off the individual events by winning the boys 200-yard freestyle for the Bobcats, and teammate Ben Barsam followed with a victory in the boys 200-yard medley.

Mike Koscinski won the boys 50-yard freestyle for Bel Air and Macey Nitchie completed the Bobcats sweep of the event with a win in the girls race.

Koscinski earned his second victory of the night in the boys 100-yard freestyle, while Cousler also racked up a second first-place finish in the boys 500-yard freestyle.

Bel Air's Matt Pron won the boys 100-yard backstroke, and Barsam rounded out Bel Air's individual firsts his second victory of the night, winning the boys 100-yard breaststroke.

Havre de Grace's Allissa Lyons took first in two races, the girls 100-yard backstroke and 500-yard freestyle. Alyssa Smith also grabbed two first-place finishes for the Warriors, in the girls 200-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly.

Havre de Grace's Hunter Infeld won the boys 100-yard butterfly.

Patterson Mill's Ayana Phillips was a double winner, taking first place in the girls 100-yard breaststroke and 100-yard freestyle. Annie Tompkins won the girls 200-yard medley race for the Huskies, beating teammate Lexi Karalekas by 0.07 seconds.

Tech over Joppa, Edgewood

The Harford Tech swimmers took a pair of victories at Edgewood Middle School on Monday night, beating Joppatowne and Edgewood in a tri-meet.

Harford Tech beat Joppatowne, 128-59, and Edgewood, 124-64.

Edgewood came out on top of Joppatowne, 103-84.

Harford Tech's Alyssa Carestia kicked off the Cobras winning effort by topping the field in the girls 200-yard freestyle, and teammate Tim Seitzinger followed by taking first in the boys 200-yard medley.

Megan Culbertson won the girls 200-yard medley event, and Travis Girvin grabbed first place for the Cobras in the boys 50-yard freestyle.

Harford Tech's Taylor Casalena notched a first-place finish in the girls 50-yard freestyle, then won her very next race, the girls 100-yard butterfly.

Justin Carestia notched a first-place finish in the boys 500-yard freestyle for the Cobras.

Alyssa Carestia took her second win of the meet in the girls 100-yard backstroke, and Culbertson joined her teammate at two individual wins by topping all comers in the girls 100-yard breaststroke.

Edgewood's Sam Verk won the boys 100-yard backstroke, while fellow Ram Jordi Jandreau was first place in the girls 100-yard freestyle. Verk was also winner of the boys 100-yard butterfly.
