Motorcyclist injured in one of several crashes on I-95 in Harford Sunday

A motorcyclist was injured in one of several accidents on I-95 in Harford County Sunday, according to law enforcement and rescue officials.

The crash was reported as the motorcyclist was traveling south at about noon near the Riverside exit, according to Harford Fire Blog.

The motorcyclist, who was identified only as a male, was taken by ambulance to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, Cpl. Allaband, of the Maryland State Police's JFK Highway Barrack said.

Allabond did not know the extent of the injuries.

The highway was shut down for "a few minutes" after the accident, he said.

Several other crashes were reported on I-95 throughout the day.

Allabond said about six or seven crashes had been reported, but all were minor.

A male was also flown to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center after a crash in Aberdeen on Route 22 at Post Road at 9:55 a.m. Sunday, the Aberdeen Police Department reported.

APD spokesman Lt. Fred Budnick said Tuesday the victim suffered a head injury after two cars collided. He did not know the victim's age or other identifying information or his condition.

One car crossed the median strip near a construction zone and crashed head-on into the second vehicle, Budnick said.
