The Bel Air Bobcats knocked off visiting North Harford, 9-6, on Wednesday in an UCBAC Chesapeake (upper) Division matchup.

With the win, Bel Air (6-4 Chesapeake) improved to 8-7 on the season. North Harford (3-7 Chesapeake) fell to 6-9 overall.

Bel Air starting pitcher Rayn Gibson went the distance to earn a win and helped her own cause at the plate by going 3-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs.

The Bobcats' Sarah Fleishmann was 2-for-4 with one RBI, while Taylor Hensley went 2-for-4 with a triple and one RBI. Bethanie Cook was 2-for-4 in the victory. Jen Schofield and Madyson Delaney both had one RBI for Bel Air, while Bailey Gasior had three sacrifices.

North Harford's Allison Meil ripped a three-RBI triple in the loss, while Rebecca Simon and Kaitlyn Horsey both went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

HdG bashes Bo Manor

The Havre de Grace Warriors (13-3 overall, 11-1 Susquehanna) took a home-field victory on Wednesday, dispatching Bo Manor, 10-4.

Taylor Smith led the Havre de Grace lineup, going 3-for-4 with three RBIs, while Lindsey Fenner was 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles. Megan Thompson was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and Emily Lewis was 1-for-4 with two RBIs. Kateri Peters went 1-for-3 with a double in the victory and Riley Arnold finished 2-for-4. Olivia Dubois went 1-for-3 with a double.

Warrior pitcher Ashley Algard nearly went the distance, allowing three earned runs on five hits, striking out three and allowing one walk over 6-1/3 innings. Megan Thompson closed out the game for Havre de Grace, striking out two and holding Bo Manor hitless during her relief stint.

Patterson Mill defeats Fallston

Playing on the road Wednesday, the Patterson Mill Huskies (8-7 overall, 7-5 Susquehanna) ended Fallston's 13-game win streak, defeating the visiting Cougars, 8-2.

The loss dropped Fallston to 13-2 overall and 11-1 in Susquehanna (lower) Division play.

Hailey Horton tossed a complete game for the Huskies, striking out five and surrendering one earned run on five hits. At the plate, Horton was 3-for-5 with one run and one RBI.

Alicia Hruz led the Patterson Mill attack, going 2-for-3 with three RBIs and one run scored, while Becca Borowski was 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Danielle Dahl was 2-for-4 with two runs and Isabel Emanuel was 1-for-1. The Huskies' Sam Denson went 2-for-3 with a double and one run.

CMW comes closer to clinch

The C. Milton Wright Mustangs came one step closer to securing a Chesapeake Division crown on Wednesday, winning a road game with the North East Indians, 16-2.

The game was halted after the sixth inning by the 10-run mercy rule.

The victory put CMW (13-2 overall) at 10-1 in upper-division contests. The Mustangs host second-place Perryville on Monday at 3:30 in the Chesapeake's deciding game.

CMW's Holli Rutkowski was 3-for-3 with a triple, two runs and one RBI, while Catherine Kim was 4-for-5 with three runs and two RBIs. Emily Luzetsky helped the winning cause by going 1-for-3 with a homer and two runs scored. Caroline Weimer was 3-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs and Lauren Hufham was 1-for-2 with a home run.

Mustang pitcher Morghan Fulton went all the way, holding the North East lineup to nine hits and two runs over six innings of work.

Edgewood topped

The Edgewood Rams got in a softball game Tuesday afternoon, but they had settle for a 12-2 loss to the visiting Elkton Golden Elks.

The game was halted after five innings by the 10-run mercy rule.

With the loss, Edgewood fell to 2-12 for the season and 2-9 against Susquehanna (lower) Division squads.
