School bus crash in Bel Air sends two to hospital

Two Bel Air High School students were taken to the hospital after a school bus crash in Bel Air Thursday morning, the Harford County Volunteer Fire & EMS Association said.

A vehicle crashed into the school bus at about 8 a.m. at Route 24 and Bel Air South Parkway.

The students were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, according to the Fire and EMS Association's public information officers' Facebook page.

"One of our buses that services Bel Air High School was rear-ended this morning," Harford County Public Schools spokeswoman Teri Kranefeld said. Kranefeld said she did not have more details.

The passenger and the driver of the vehicle that ran into the bus were not injured, Sheriff's Office Capt. Keith Warner said.

The students were taken to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Warner said.
