The road to New Orleans starts in Downtown Bel Air

Harford County plans to show its Purple Pride and its support for the Baltimore Ravens during a Ravens Rally Friday at Armory Park in Downtown Bel Air.

The festivities are scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. at Armory Park on Main Street, next to the Bel Air Reckord Army, and will be hosted by DJ and Master of Ceremonies Tyler Daniel from WXCY 103.7FM.

Expected at the rally are The Bus Boys —- Fan Man, Maniac, Poetic Justice, Ravin Rick, Camo Man and Off The Hook – with their Fan Bus so local fans can get pumped up for an exciting game Saturday against the Denver Broncos in Denver.

Looney's Pub will be on site with its catering truck, as will Flavor Cupcakery and its cupcake van full of sweet treats. There will be free popcorn for everyone (while supplies last), Ravens swag from Natty Boh Gear and tons of prizes from local restaurants, Tiny Toes, Natty Boh Gear and Flavor Cupcakery for the best dressed fans, including guys, gals and kids.

This event is free and open to the public.

The Bel Air Downtown Alliance is looking forward to seeing everyone from joining together for a fun filled afternoon of community spirit and Purple Pride.

"We have had so much fun the last two years with our Ravens rallies that we knew we couldn't let this one go by," Scott T. Walker, executive director of the Bel Air Downtown Alliance, said. "This year we're going to make it happen. We'll be back on January 18 to cheer the Ravens to victory in the AFC Championship game and again on February 1 at Main Street Tower at our 3rd Annual Halfway to First Fridays to cheer them on to victory at the Super Bowl."

In the case of inclement weather, cancellation will be announced by 3:30 p.m. on the Bel Air Downtown Alliance's web page. There is no rain date.
