There is a 50 percent chance someone from Harford County will win tickets to Baltimore Ravens home games for the next 20 years.
Two Bel Air residents - Cheryl Rice and Vernon Miller Jr. - are among four finalists from the greater Baltimore area who are in the running for the grand prize in the Maryland Lottery's Ravens Mega Power Promotion.
The winner of the "Seats for 20 Years" prize is scheduled to be revealed at 10:15 a.m. Friday at the Ravens' home field, M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, according to a Lottery news release.
Each finalist has already won a $5,000 prize.
The tickets for 20 years are valued at $223,000, Gail Pelovitz, drawings manager for special games and promotions for the Lottery, said via e-mail Thursday.
Maryland Lottery officials have worked with the Ravens for five years to offer prizes such as rings, game day tickets and traveling with the team, Carol Everett, communications director for the Lottery, said.
"We've done all kinds of fun, really experiential, types of prizes, and those are the types of prizes that people remember," she said Thursday.
Miller and Rice could not be reached for comment before press time Thursday.
Also in the running for the grand prize are Dorothy Nazarenus and Danilo "Dan" Natividad, both of Baltimore, according to a Lottery news release.
The grand prize includes season tickets for 20 years, starting with the 2014-2015 season, for two club-level seats at M&T Bank Stadium, plus parking passes.
Lottery officials received more than 207,000 entries in the Mega Power Promotion, which lasted from Aug. 26 to Dec. 26, 2013.
Players were entered in the drawing by spending $1 extra on a Mega Millions or Powerball ticket, which added a "Megaplier" with a Ravens logo to their ticket, according to a Lottery web page on the promotion.
Players could then enter "non-winning" Powerball or Mega Millions tickets in the Ravens promotion for tickets, cash and "unique gameday experiences."
During the promotion, Lottery officials would select a "Fan of the Game" at each Ravens game during the 2013 season. That fan would win $5,000, plus $1,000 for each Ravens interception.
Finalists were selected on Sept. 26, Oct. 31, Nov. 29 and Dec. 26, according to the web page.
