Harford County government employees raised nearly $700 for the Ray Lewis 52 Foundation during a bake sale held in Bel Air Friday morning.

The Purple Pride Bake Sale was held in the county administrative building and raised the money in just 90 minutes.

More than 100 county employees and members of the general public stopped by for the sale, a county spokesman said. All the baked goods were made in Ravens colors or with a Ravens theme.

The sale was organized over the previous week, as the Baltimore Ravens began advancing in the NFL playoffs. All county departments and agencies were encouraged to participate.

The sale was coordinated by long-time Ravens fan Kimberly Spence, chief of the Office of Budget and Management Research.

Diana Nalls was the winner of the best Ravens themed bake good contest for her chocolate covered strawberries. Second place went to Jennifer Boesch for her Ravens cupcakes.

The contest judging was handled by Budget and Management Chief Kim Spence and Risk Manager Rocky Gonzalez.

The Ray Lewis 52 Foundation provides assistance to disadvantaged youth.
