( January 18, 2013 ) Both the novel "Advise and Consent" and the movie of the same name played on the blackmailing of a gay congressman. Eighteen years after the movie, popular Harford County congressman Bob Bauman's political career came crashing down after a gay sex scandal. In 2012, openly gay candidates were elected to the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate, the latter a first. |
