The pink-suited Elle Woods and her dog, Bruiser, will be making an appearance in Harford County, singing about law and love at Patterson Mill High School this March.
The Patterson Mill Drama Company will perform "Legally Blonde: The Musical" from March 1 to 3 in the high school's auditorium.
More than 65 students will be on hand to sing and act in the musical version of the hit 2001 movie.
Starring Reese Witherspoon, the movie featured a ditzy sorority girl who follows her ex-boyfriend to Harvard Law School but learns a lot about herself in the process and discovers she actually has a promising future in law after successfully defending a woman falsely accused of murder.
The musical version opened on Broadway in 2007 and fills out the movie plot with songs like "Omigod You Guys," "Daughter of Delta Nu" and "Bend and Snap."
It closed a year later on Broadway, but has performed much longer in England and was nominated for seven Tony Awards.
Patterson Mill's Shane Jensen will direct the show and Megan Valle is designing the choreography as well as playing the role of Elle Woods.
The drama company promises to give residents "the best show in town, case closed."
Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for seniors, students and children.
A dinner and show will also be available on March 2 at a cost of $20 for adults and $12 for students, seniors and children.
The musical will be performed at 7 p.m. on March 1 and 2, and at 2 p.m. on March 3.
