Man wanted for exposing himself to Bel Air student walking home

Bel Air police are asking the public's help in finding a man who exposed himself to a high school girl near downtown Bel Air last week.

The man was in a car and pulled up to the girl as she was walking home from school at about 2:30 p.m. near Broadway and Franklin Street Thursday, according to a police press release sent Tuesday morning.

The man asked the student if she needed a ride. When she declined, he drove to the next intersection and pulled up next to her to ask directions.

When the student approached the vehicle to give directions, she noticed the man was exposing himself, according to the release.

The man then left the area without further contact.

The man is described as white and about 20 years old, with a medium build and wearing a plaid sweat shirt.

He was driving a red, hatchback-style car with unknown license plates.

Bel Air detectives were working the investigation as of Tuesday.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Mark Zulauf at 410-638-4518.
