About 600 people attended the 15th annual Winter Wine Expo at Harford Community College last Sunday.
They could sample wine, craft beer and food provided by about 53 vendors who set up shop in the APG Federal Credit Union Arena on campus.
"I think the weather really played in our favor," said Denise Dregier, HCC's director of college and alumni development.
Dregier said attendees could sample more than 200 wines and beers, selected by Elizabeth Labruto of Wine World Beer & Spirits, of Abingdon.
They could also enjoy samples of food from a handful of local restaurants, shops and markets, including MaGerks of Bel Air, Silks Restaurant of Bulle Rock in Havre de Grace, Wegmans in Abingdon, Bomboy's of Havre de Grace and Kilby Cream of Rising Sun.
"It was a nice addition to the expo," Dregier said of the food, which is new this year.
Proceeds from the Wine Expo benefit the college's Alumni and Friends Association. Major sponsors include The Harford Mutual Insurance Companies of Bel Air, the Alumni and Friends Association and Wine World.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
