Harford Tech battles Bo girls volleyball, comes up short

The Harford Tech girls volleyball squad battled with visiting Bo Manor Monday and came up just short of a match victory, losing to the guests, 3-2.

Harford Tech (4-4 overall, 4-3 Susquehanna) lost the first game, 25-20, but came back to even the match with a 25-20 win in the following game. A 25-32 victory in the third contest put the Cobras ahead, 2-1, but the visitors took the next two games, 25-19 and 15-10.

Harford Tech's Amber Olson had seven kills and two blocks, while Sydney Tudor posted four kills and one block. Amy Huynh racked up 10 digs and Karizma Hockaday had six kills. Alyssa Hockaday put up two kills, two aces and one block. Jamie Tubao had 12 assists and two kills for Harford Tech, while Jenna Hathazi had five kills, three blocks and seven assists.

Edgewood topped

The Edgewood Rams (1-7 overall, 1-6 Susquehanna) was beaten in three straight games by visiting Perryville on Monday.

Perryville won with scores of 25-18, 25-21 and 25-16.

Edgewood's Kelsey Swann had two aces, four digs and five assists. The Edgewood back row of Alexis McCoy, Shannon Bowman, Julia Gatch and Liz Padin combined for 31 digs.

Bel Air beaten

The Bel Air Bobcats (6-2 overall, 4-2 Chesapeake) suffered their second regular-season loss of the year Monday, falling 3-1 at home to Rising Sun.

Aberdeen over Joppatowne

The Aberdeen girls squad (7-1 overall, 6-1 Susquehanna) shut down visiting Joppatowne (0-8 overall, 0-7 Susquehanna) on Monday in three straight games.

The Eagles won by scores by 25-11, 25-7 and 25-18.

HdG tops Patterson Mill

Host-team Havre de Grace (3-5 overall, 3-4 Susquehanna) knocked off visiting Patterson Mill (3-5 overall, 3-4 Susquehanna), 3-0, in a Monday match.

The Warriors took their three victories with scores of 25-22, 25-22 and 25-20.
