Sophomore Sam Herman got off to a fast start, scoring six goals to lead the Huskies. Gabby Vujanic added two goals and Amy Bednarek scored once.

Patterson Mill goalie Erin Dent finished with eight saves.

Edgewood opened on the road at Reservoir Thursday and fell, 12-11, after trailing 5-3 at the half.

Alyssa Rankin pumped in four goals and Kara Andrews netted the hat trick to lead the Edgewood scoring.

Andrews also dished out four assists, while Megan Poniatowski and Caitlin Rankin each had one.

Edgewood goalie Savannah Kerr made nine saves.

Hawks beat Cobras

Also Thursday, North Harford beat host Harford Tech, 18-4. Becca Williams scored two times for Tech, while Gabby Spalt and Tori Arcilesi scored a goal each.

Stats were not made available for North Harford.

Patriots lose

John Carroll's first loss came Thursday at Mount de Sales, 12-10.

Kara Klages led the Patriots scoring with four goals, while Grace Richards also had multiple goals with two.

Mackenzie Reese and Caroline Haggerty each had assists and goalie Katy Sharretts made eight saves.
