A fire extensively damaged a home in Forest Hill Wednesday night.
At least one person was being evaluated medically at the scene in the 100 block of Marshall Drive off Bynum Road, the Harford County Fire and EMS Association public information officer wrote on the organization's media Facebook page.
The call for the fire was received at 7:18 p.m. Damage is estimated at $300,000, according to Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company's website, http://www.bavfc.org.
Firefighters from Bel Air, Fallston and Jarrettsville volunteer fire companies responded to the fire, while crews from Darlington and Level filled in at Bel Air during the incident.
When firefighters arrived, they found heavy fire coming from all windows on the first floor, according to Bel Air's web site.
The fire was controlled in about 20 minutes, according to the site.
One civilian was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Photographs from the scene showed the exterior walls and roof of the one-story, brick, ranch style dwelling sustained what appeared to be major damage, as did an automobile parked in an attached carport.
The fire is under investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office.
