The Patterson Mill Huskies earned one last regular-season field hockey victory Friday night with a 2-0 road win over the River Hill squad.
The victory put the Huskies at 8-3-1 for the season.
Linnea Gonzalez scored the Huskies' first goal with an assist from Julie Sibbesen.
Patterson Mill's second goal came from Abby Smith, who scored with a helper from Gonzalez.
Playing at home on Friday, the John Carroll Patriots lost, 2-1, to the Park School squad.
Katie Sullivan scored the Patriots' only goal with an assist from Grace Richards.
The MPSSAA regional field hockey tournament draws are in, and since every single Harford County squad has been afforded a first-round bye, post-season competition for local teams will not start until the second round contests on Thursday.
In the 3A North Section II bracket, C. Milton Wright drew the top seed and will host fourth-seeded North Harford on Thursday, while second-seeded Bel Air will take on visiting third-seed Aberdeen.
Edgewood, the lone Harford County squad in the 2A competition, drew the North Section II's second seed and will play host to third-seeded Elkton in a Thursday game.
The 1A North Section II is packed with local teams, with the top seed going to Harford Tech, which will play fourth seeded Joppatowne Thursday. Second-seeded Patterson Mill is slated to host third-seeded Fallston Thursday.
