North Harford dusts John Carroll in Monday field hockey contest

In a Monday contest that had both teams playing outside their respective field hockey conferences, the North Harford Hawks cruised to a 7-1 win over visiting John Carroll.

North Harford led the game, 3-0, at halftime.

Jamie Rickey had two goals for the Hawks, while Sarah Jackson and Rachel Baca both had one goal and two assists. Gabby Karr and Sophie Crowther each scored once in the win.

John Carroll's Bethany Boniface scored her team's only goal unassisted.

North Harford keeper Jess Hart posted two saves, while Patriots' goalie Amanda Brannan racked up 12.

Bel Air wins thriller

Bel Air earned a thrilling, double-overtime victory on Monday as the host-team Bobcats edged out the Reservoir squad, 2-1.

With the score tied 1-1 in the second sudden-death overtime period, Bel Air's Megan Scary knocked in the game-winning goal. Judy Yurkofsky supplied the assist for Scary's goal.

In second half, while Bel Air was down, 1-0, Yurkofsky tied things up with an unassisted goal.

Harford Tech doubles up with Tome

Playing the Tome School squad Monday for the second time in five days, the Harford Tech Cobras avenged an earlier loss by beating the visiting Titans, 4-1.

The Cobras led, 2-0, at halftime.

Mikaela Hairston notched two goals and one assist for Harford Tech, while Tyler Bethke had one goal and one assist. Meagan Sturla scored once in the victory, while Lexie Endlich and Brittany Kapustensky both handed out one assist.

Harford Tech goalie Hannah Snyder had six saves.

Thursday's matchup at Tome saw the visiting Cobras beaten, 2-1, in overtime.

The game was tied, 1-1, at halftime.

Bethke scored her team's lone goal with an assist from Kapustensky.

Tome scored the winning goal one minute into the first sudden-death overtime period.

Snyder posted 12 saves.

Harford Christian takes two

Harford Christian has been living dangerously of late, winning back-to-back overtime contests by scores of 1-0.

Playing on the road Monday, the Eagles defeated Havre de Grace, with Lily Loomis scoring the game-winning goal in the second sudden death overtime period.

On Friday, Loomis scored the game-winning goal as well, this time tucking a shot away in the first overtime period to give the Eagles a 1-0 win over host Bo Manor.

Patterson Mill defeated

The Patterson Mill Huskies were knocked off by visiting Hereford on Thursday, 4-1.

The halftime score was 1-1.

Linnea Gonzalez netted the Huskies only goal.

Maddie Hedrick posted 10 saves in goal for Patterson Mill.
