Fallston accident Saturday

The driver of a pickup truck was injured when his vehicle hit a tree and ran off Stratford Road in the Fallston area Saturday afternoon.

Just before 2:30 p.m., the fire company was dispatched to Stratford Road near Route 152 for a reported vehicle collision with one person trapped, according to the public information officer of the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a pickup truck had collided with a tree at the end of Stratford Road and the driver, who was the sole occupant, was injured, but not trapped in the vehicle.

The driver, an adult male who was not identified, was transported by a Joppa-Magnolia medic unit to the Johns Hopkins Bayview Trauma Center in Baltimore in serious but stable condition, according to a media release from the fire company.

Maryland State Police troopers were also called the scene and are handling the investigation.
