Committee members said they want to thank Wendy's Restaurant of Hickory and of Churchville for having fund-raisers to support the Empty Stocking Fund. The Applebee's Flapjack Breakfast fund-raiser was a great success, and bowling at Forest Hill Lanes in June was fun for all who attended, Empty Stocking organizers reported.
