After another slow start, The Aegis Empty Stocking Fund, as it usually does has rallied is just $5,000 short of its fund-raising goal of $80,000 this year.
As of Monday, $75,086 had been received and the volunteer committee members, who had been concerned that for the first time in its history the Empty Stocking Fund would stay rather empty, want to express their appreciation and thanks to each one who has had a part in supporting the fund this year.
The Aegis Empty Stocking volunteers would like to thank each individual and every business and organization for the wonderful assortment of toys received by The Aegis Empty Stocking Fund. Among those who donated toys recently were Harford Ballet; Freedom Federal Credit Unions; Cook Volkswagen, Fallston; and several Aberdeen Proving Ground on-post offices.
Thanks and appreciation to Chesapeake Environmental Management Inc. for a generous donation of $2,500 and also a generous donation of $1,000 from Elizabeth R. Roese.

Merryman, $100; Robert and Morita Bruce, $100; Pat and Guy Hendrix, $100; Henry and Patricia Carter, $100; St. Mary Magadalene and Markella Youth Goya, $150; Michael and Jessica Daniele, $100; Betty Skidmore, $100; Thomas and Dorothy Williams, $100; Jane Oles, $100; Gerard and Elizabeth Baxter, $250; Richard and Lynn Havel, $100; Frances S.
