From now through April 11, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation is accepting entries for the 11th annual watershed photo contest, and it sure would be nice, when all is said and done, to see some of the scenes of the upper Bay featured.
Also billed as the Save the Bay Photo Contest, it is open to anyone 13 or older who has a desire to take pictures. Prizes awarded are $500 for first, $250 for second, $150 for third and $100 for viewers' choice.
Last year's winning entries can be seen at cbf.org/events/photo-contest/previous-winners but Dundee Creek in Baltimore County is as far up the Bay as any of the winning entries got. There are wonderful vistas and striking wildlife to be seen in Harford County, both on the shores of the Bay, the Susquehanna River and other tributaries.
No doubt a winning photo — or at least a runner up — is out there in the wilds of Harford waiting to be taken.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
