Plenty to see and do at Bel Air's Festival of Trees Saturday, Sunday

Chesapeake Cancer Alliance is holding its eighth annual Festival of Trees this weekend at the Bel Air Reckord Armory, and the first day's enthusiastic crowd had plenty to see and do at the historic building.

The event runs Saturday, Nov. 30, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 1, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Christmas trees of all sizes, wreaths and gingerbread houses decorated and donated by community organizations, businesses and designers will be sold by silent auction all weekend. For those who don't want to miss out on their favorite tree, there is a "Buy it Now" price.

In addition there will be a gift boutique, craft table, bake table, café and fresh greenery including wreaths and table trees.

Activities for children include face painting, games, crafts and a "make you own gingerbread house" station.

The Harford County Reading Council will be giving out free books to children.

On Sunday the entertainment will be Professor Horn's Magic Show at 1 p.m. and again at 2 p.m.

Adult admission is $6 and children 12 and younger are admitted free. For information, and a $1 coupon, visit
