Harford police, emergency responders investigating suspicious death near Bel Air

Harford County police and emergency services officials said a suspicious death occurred in a car found parked Wednesday afternoon in an area under development a few miles southeast of Bel Air, prompting the dispatch of a large contingent of emergency response vehicles.

The victim is a 46-year-old white man, a police spokesman said. Though there has been no ruling on a cause of death or manner of death as of Thursday afternoon, the case is being investigated as a suicide.

The Harford County Sheriff's Office, Harford Hazmat Team and Abingdon Fire Company responded  around 2:15 p.m. to the new development, Estates at Cedarday, which is on Cedarknoll Road near Cedar Lane Regional Park and an existing community named Cedarday.
