Harford County Government has a new television show called "Harford Happenings" airing on Harford Cable Network, and hosted by the county's Public Information Officer Sherrie Johnson.
Each month, Johnson will bring an inside look at county government, its departments and its staff.
The goal of the show is to educate the public on the activities of their government.
"We want to let people know the positive things that are happening in Harford County Government and I am so excited to have this opportunity to showcase our initiatives," Johnson said in a press release.
Harford Cable Network is producing the show utilizing new technology, including the debut of its first virtual set.
"Harford Happenings" premiers in November with a look at tourism, recycling and the budget process in Harford County. It will air on Harford Cable Network throughout November on Mondays and Thursdays at 1:30 p.m. and Wednesdays and Saturdays at 7 p.m.
Harford Cable Network is Harford County's public access, education and government channel. Operated by the County Council and overseen by an Advisory Board, HCN reaches cable subscribers on Comcast channel 21, Armstrong channel 7 and Verizon FiOS channel 31.
