Deputies responded to Burger King, at Route 924 and Bel Air South Parkway, at 1:04 a.m. in reference to a male who was naked and acting irrationally, Sheriff's Office spokesman Edward Hopkins said.
They found a 17-year-old male running around the parking lot yelling and screaming. When he saw the police, he started yelling irrational statements, Hopkins said.
"He then charged at deputies and had to be [Tasered] to be subdued," Hopkins said. "Deputies were able to control him and place him in custody."
According to Hopkins, deputies requested emergency medical services to respond because of the teenager's "altered mental state."
The subject was taken to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, where deputies "completed an Emergency Petition application," Hopkins said.
Police believe the teenager, whom they did not identify was under the influence of "most likely narcotics," Hopkins said.
"His behavior was very irrational," he said.
