Bel Air teen charged with sexually abusing young girl

An 18-year-old Bel Air teen is charged with abusing a girl over the course of a year.

Romario Roberto Bullock, 18, of the 100 block of West Ring Factory Road, is charged with sex abuse of a minor, second-degree sex offense, perverted practice and second-degree assault. He is being held without bail at the Harford County Detention Center.

Between May 2011 and early this month, Bullock allegedly abused the girl, who is younger than 18, several times a week. The abuse was discovered when text messages between Bullock and his alleged victim were discovered.

Bullock allegedly admitted to his father that he "made a mistake," according to court records.

The girl told police Bullock said if she told anyone, she would not only be hurting him but her entire family. She said she didn't report the abuse earlier because she thought Bullock would be joining the military and leaving soon.
