The Bel Air Bobcats earned a boys volleyball victory in Havre de Grace Tuesday, defeating the Warriors, 25-15, 27-25 and 25-13.
Bel Air's Jake Welch notched three aces, four kills and a team-high 12 assists. Tyler Norcross had five aces and three kills in the victory, while Jake Andrew had four kills. Brady Grimes helped the winning cause with five kills, one ace and one assist. Connor Johnson put up three aces, four kills and one assist for the Bobcats, while Stephen Diggins had three aces and four kills. Bel Air's Kyle Johnson registered six assists and two aces.
Leading the Havre de Grace effort was Sebastian Pruitt, who had four kills, two digs, one block and two aces. Paul Butz had two kills, two digs and one block in the loss, while Josean Ponce had one kill, three digs and one ace. Sean Darney paced the Warriors in assists with four, while Glenn Joseph had a team-best three aces. Randy Sorrentino had one block for Havre de Grace.
CMW over Aberdeen
The C. Milton Wright Mustangs topped visiting Aberdeen Tuesday, 3-1.
The hosts won the first game, 25-17, took the second game, 25-16, then lost the third game, 25-20. The final game went to the Mustangs, 25-15.
John Grotke had one ace, three digs, two blocks, two assists and a match-high 18 kills. Justin Pezzella came through with two aces, two digs, one block, two kills and a team-best 25 assists for the Mustangs.
