Friday night boys soccer postseason action saw the Fallston, Harford Tech and Patterson Mill squads earn season-extending wins in the 2A East regional tournament, while Aberdeen came away with a double overtime victory in the 3A North bracket.
Fallston tops Edgewood
Playing on the road in their Friday matchup, the fifth-seeded Fallston Cougars conceded an early goal to the fourth-seeded Edgewood Rams, then scored 10 unanswered goals to take a 10-1 victory in the 2A East District VII tournament's opening round.
"Everyone played very well tonight," Fallston head coach Chris Hoover said. "Chris Grant and Tyler Andrus played especially well for us tonight out the midfield. We gave up that one goal about three minutes into the game, then were able to get on track and get some goals of our own."
Fallston will move on to play at top-seeded Patterson Mill in the district semifinal round, which was scheduled for Tuesday. Patterson Mill will host that game.

Nathan Haskell started the scoring parade in the 50th minute with a goal that was assisted by Justin Morris.

Patterson Mill stomps Joppatowne
Top-seeded Patterson Mill Huskies beat visiting eighth seed Joppatowne, 10-0, Friday in the opening round of the 2A East District VII regional tournament.

Mustangs upset Bobcats in 3A North showdown
The C. Milton Wright Mustangs scored just one goal in their opening-round match of the 3A North boys soccer regional tournament Thursday, but that was all they needed to hand the host Bel Air Bobcats a 1-0 season-ending loss.
The fourth-seeded Bobcats and 13th-seeded Mustangs played to a scoreless standoff through the first half.
In the second half, C. Milton Wright's Manny Mastromanolis tucked a shot into the Bel Air net, and that would be all the visitors needed to keep their season alive.
Bel Air, this year's UCBAC Chesapeake Division champ, was just two days removed from winning the UCBAC title game with a 4-0 victory over Perryville.
The Mustangs advance to play a road game, scheduled for Tuesday, against Towson.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
