Bel Air kicks off campaign with 6-1 drubbing of Elkton boys soccer

The Bel Air Bobcats opened their boys soccer season Monday night with a 6-1 drubbing of the visiting Elkton Golden Elks.

The halftime score was 3-0.

Leading the Bel Air attack was Logan Szekalski, who notched three goals and two assists. Brandon Tolson, J.D. Bruck and Andrew Marinich all scored once in the victory, while Alex Munley, Matt Rannie and Jason Dinsmore had one assist apiece.

Over the weekend, Bel Air hosted a preseason tournament and came out on top in both of its matches, beating Hereford, 3-0, and Dulaney, 4-0.

In their victory over Hereford, the Bobcats saw Rannie, Daniel Milad and Zach Memmo each score one goal. Memmo and Rannie each had one assist.

Bel Air goalie Garrett Lorenz posted four saves.

Leading Bel Air in its win over Dulaney were Munely and Rannie, who each had one goal and one assist. Shamus Riley and Brandon Tolson scored once each in the win.

Harford Tech tourney

Saturday's Harford Tech Cobra Kick-Off Tournament was won by the North Harford Hawks, who defeated the host team Cobras, 7-1, in the title game.

Cameron Brosh scored four times to lead the Hawks, while teammate Mike Boyko had two goals. Tyler Grubb netted one goal while Jacob Hackett, Kyle Munson, Mick Green and Connor LaPlante all had one assist.

Harford Tech's Vinnie Iannucci had his team's lone goal on an assist from David Phoebus.

North Harford led, 3-1, at halftime.

The Hawks opened the tournament with a 7-0 win over Joppatowne.

Harford Tech won its first-round match with Edgewood, 5-0.

Iannucci, Nathan Haskell, Zach Metz, Jordan Mike and Zach McAdam netted one goal apiece.

Providing assists in the victory were Steve Chapman, Giovanni Iniguez, Justin Morris, Mike and Iannucci.

Harford Tech led, 2-0, at the halftime break.

In the consolation round, Edgewood defeated Joppatowne, 3-1.

Huskies tops in Blue Bracket

The Patterson Mill boys took top honors in the blue bracket at Saturday's Patapsco Tournament, beating Lackey, 6-0, and defeating Southern, 3-1.

Over the two victories, the Huskies saw nine different players score with Patrick Kiley, Laz Cardwell, Caleb Hebb, Jake Ross, Chris Jones, Mike Dinatale, Rob Lewis, Adam Walker and Larsen Green all netting one goal. Kiley had two assists while Cardwell, Hebb, Tommy O'Neill and Peter Kafkakis all had one assist.
