The Harford Christian Eagles kicked off their MACSAC schedule with a big victory Monday night, beating visiting Calvary Baptist, 49-16.

"We jumped out on them, and it could have been a whole lot worse," Eagles head coach Richard Westerlund said. "The guys really brought it on the defensive end. It was nice to get our second team a lot of playing time, and give them some game experience."

John Wilson and Ryan Redmond each scored 10 points for the Eagles. Zach Dawson scored nine, Daniel Koppenhaver scored five and Sean Hughes had four points for Harford Christian.

The Edgewood Rams earned a 76-66 victory over the visiting Perry Hall Gators on Monday.

Edgewood trailed, 32-31, at halftime.

Roderick Harrison had 24 points, eight rebounds, four steals and two assists in the victory, while teammate Jaleel Gibson posted 18 points, eight rebounds, three steals and three assists. Kevin Ringgold notched nine points, five rebounds and a team-best six assists, while fellow Ram Lolami Charles put up nine points, two blocks and a team-best 15 rebounds.

Bobcats top Hawks

The Bel Air Bobcats won athomevictory Friday, knocking off the North Harford Hawks, 64-43.

The two teams ended the first quarter tied, 11-11, but Bel Air built a 31-27 lead by halftime. After three quarters, Bel Air led, 45-32, and continued to pull away from there.

Tom Keller led the Bobcat offense with 17 points and pulled down seven rebounds. Parker Jones had 17 points in the victory, while teammate Tyler Norcross had 16 points, 12 rebounds and six assists.

Patriots knock off Mt. Carmel

The John Carroll Patriots earned an MIAA "A" Conference victory on the road Friday night, defeating the Mt. Carmel squad, 50-42.

Leading the Patriots was Rodney Elliott, who had 16 points, nine rebounds, six assists and one steal.

John Carroll's Jordan Martin had 11 points, three rebounds and two assists, Lionel Owona had four points, eight rebounds, two steals and one assist, Michael Tertsea had three points, eight rebounds and three blocks and Elijah Long had with six points, two assists and two steals. The Patriots Kimbal Mackenzie had four points, three steals, two assists and one rebound.

CMW wins on road

The C. Milton Wright Mustangs held on to take a 58-54 road victory over Northwestern of Baltimore Friday.

CMW's Mychal Stefanides led all scorers with 23 and had three assists. Corey Bays had six points and a team-best two steals in the win, while Connor Bays had four points and led CMW in blocks with three.

Logan Keys posted six points in the victory, while Chris Kiley had five points and a team-high eight rebounds. Sam Hahner scored five points for CMW.
