The game was tied, 13-13, after one quarter, but the Bobcats managed to pull ahead 28-21 by the halftime intermission. The hosts cut Bel Air's advantage down to 40-37 in the third quarter, and the guests responded by outscoring North East 19-8 over the final eight minutes.

Bel Air's Tyler Norcross had 22 points and nine rebounds, while teammate Parker Jones posted 15 points. The Bobcats' Juwan Singletary put up nine points, 10 rebounds and six assists, while Chris Murdock registered 10 points in the victory.

Joppatowne cruises to win

Playing a Friday home game with the Perryville Panthers, the Joppatowne Mariners (15-3 overall, 12-0 Susquehanna) continued their dominance of the lower division with a 77-53 victory over the visitors.

Leading the way for Joppatowne was Khalil Gore, who had 18 points, 11 rebounds and five steals. Keith Alexander came up with 16 points, six assists and eight rebounds in the victory, while teammate Markell Huggins notched 14 points, four steals, three blocks, four assists and eight rebounds. Joppatowne's Jermaine Head had eight points and four steals, while fellow Mariner Gary Blackston had seven points and 11 rebounds.

Edgewood slams Fallston

The Edgewood Rams (12-4 overall, 8-2 Chesapeake) took an upper division victory at home over Fallston (4-13 overall, 2-8 Chesapeake) on Friday, topping the visiting Cougars, 72-53.

Edgewood led, 27-14, at halftime.

Detrick Matthews had a team-high 17 points for the Rams, while also compiling four rebounds and one assist. Edgewood's Lolami Charles had 12 points, three steals and a team-best 15 rebounds. Roderick Harrison registered 10 points, five rebounds, three steals and three assists in the victory, while Jaleel Gibson had eight points, two rebounds and one steal. The Rams' Lenier Tucker posted eight points, nine rebounds, one steal and two assists, while teammate Kevin Ringgold had six points and dished out a team-high four assists. Jose Figueroa had five points in the win.

Fallston's John Makres led all scorers with a 21-point effort.

Havre de Grace edges Tech

The Havre de Grace Warriors (8-9 overall, 7-5 Susquehanna) edged out visiting Harford Tech, 61-56, in a lower-division matchup on Friday night.

The Warriors led the Cobras, 29-20, at halftime.

Having a season-best game for the Warriors was Tyriel Calhoun, who netted 32 points to lead all scorers.

Harford Tech's Isaiah Gills had matching totals in points and rebounds, posting 17 in each category. Hunter Norcross had 11 points and seven rebounds in the loss, while Harford Tech's Brian Melton had 10 points.

John Carroll takes another close one

The John Carroll boys added to this season's string of tight victory on Friday night, beating visiting St. Maria Goretti, 40-37.

Leading the Patriots was Rodney Elliott, who had 18 points, five assists, four rebounds and one steal. John Carroll's Kimbal Mackenzie had five points, two rebounds and two assists, while Mike Owona contributed four points, four rebounds and one assist in the victory. Jordan Martin had three rebounds and two assists for the Patriots, while teammate Lionel Owona pulled down four rebounds.

John Carroll and the Goretti squad were tied, 19-19, at the halftime break.
