The Bel Air Bobcats held off a late surge by the host Rising Sun Tigers on Monday in UCBAC boys basketball action, and came back to Harford County with a 57-44 victory.

With the win, Bel Air moved to 14-6 overall, and 10-2 in Susquehanna (lower) Division contests.

The Bobcats were hot in the first quarter, jumping out to a 17-5 lead, and by halftime Bel Air had established a 43-32 advantage. Rising Sun chipped away at the lead throughout the final two quarters, and were trailing, 46-39, with four minutes left, but Bel Air put a stop to the Tigers' rally with a 6-0 run.

Tyler Norcross had 15 points and 12 rebounds for the Bobcats, while teammate J.D. Bruck also netted 15 points. Juwan Singletary put up 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the victory, and fellow Bobcat Chris Murdock scored 10 points.

Tech smashes North East

Harford Tech (5-10 overall, 4-8 Susquehanna) earned a road victory Monday, dispatching the Indians, 65-43, in North East.

Isaiah Gills led the Cobras in two categories, scoring 15 points and pulling down 12 rebounds. Tyler Mister added 14 points to the winning team's tally, while Harford Tech's Hunter Norcross had 12 points, six rebounds and four assists.

CMW earns division win

The C. Milton Wright Mustangs picked up a big Chesapeake (upper) Division boys basketball victory on the road Friday night, holding on to a two-point lead through the final buzzer to knock off the host Elkton Golden Elks, 64-62.

The win put CMW at 10-7 for the season, and 4-5 against Chesapeake Division opponents.

Corey Bays was the Mustangs' top scorer, pouring in 19 points. Will Hazelton had 16 points in the victory, while fellow Mustangs Connor Bays and Mychal Stefanides both netted 13 points.

The brothers Corey and Connor Bays were co-leaders in rebounds, as each pulled down a team-best six boards.

Stefanides led CMW in steals with five, and also dished out a team-high eight assists.

Patterson Mill knocks off North Harford

The Patterson Mill Huskies (13-5 overall, 9-2 Chesapeake) won at home on Friday, topping the visiting North Harford Hawks (7-12 overall, 2-7 Chesapeake), 63-35.

The Huskies led, 30-19, at halftime.

Bryce Butler and Khalid Smith both scored 12 points to pace the Patterson Mill offense. Mike Reed netted 10 points in the win, and teammate Mike Dorsey had eight points. Andrew Bonds, Malik Bonds and Brandon Burris all had six points for the Huskies.

North Harford's Brock Hurley scored a team-high 12 points, while Nic Hammer netted six points in the loss. Madison Varvaris and Ryan Feiss both scored five points for the Hawks.

Bel air over North East

Playing a Friday road contest with the North East Indians, the Bel Air Bobcats (13-6 overall, 9-2 Susquehanna) came back to Harford County with a 59-45 division victory.
