A home invasion was reported in the Greenbrier area of Bel Air early Saturday, the Harford County Sheriff's Office said.

"We believe the victim knew his attackers and we are looking at the possibility of drugs being the underlying reason for the attack," Sheriff's Office spokesman Edward Hopkins said.

Deputies found an 18-year-old victim bleeding from lacerations to his face at 1:25 a.m. in the 900 block of Hillswood Road, Hopkins said.

The victim said his doorbell rang at 1:20 a.m. and when he answered it, two men broke in, according to the police report.

Both were armed with handguns and one suspect held the victim in the living room while the other went through his apartment, Hopkins said.

One suspect struck the victim in the face multiple times with the gun. The suspects then fled, taking money and the victim's cell phone with them.

The victim was taken to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air.

The suspects are still at large as of Monday afternoon. They are described as black males, one of whom is about 6 feet tall and wearing dark clothing. One suspect wore a white bandanna and the other had a blue bandanna covering their faces, according to the Sheriff's Office.
