Teens rob Edgewood beauty supply store, attack employee

An Edgewood beauty supply store was robbed and an employee attacked on Route 40 Thursday afternoon, the Harford County Sheriff's Office reported.

At about 2:50 p.m., three juveniles – two female and one male – entered the DJ Beauty Supply Store, in the 1800 block of Pulaski Highway, and started taking items off the shelves, according to a Sheriff's Office press release.

"An employee approached them and was threatened by one of the female suspects with an unknown object," Edward Hopkins, a Sheriff's Office spokesman, wrote in the release.

"The suspect also grabbed the employee by the hair and pushed her to the floor. The suspects then stole beauty supplies and fled across Pulaski Highway and through the parking lot of the Edgewater Village Shopping Center," Hopkins wrote. "The victim was not injured and refused medical treatment."

The three robbers are described as black and between the ages of 15 and 17. The boy was wearing a black, vest-style jacket with red sleeves, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.

One of the girls was wearing a red vest with white sleeves, a black wool hat and a red bandanna covering her face. The other girl had on a black jacket and a black baseball cap with a red brim and the letter C on the front. She also had a red bandanna covering her face.
