Bel Air tanning store robbed

A Bel Air tanning salon was robbed shortly before it closed Tuesday night. At about 8:45 p.m., a man entered Aruba Tanning in the 200 block of Brierhill Drive in Bel Air and demanded all the money from the register, according to Capt. Keith Warner of the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

The employee handed the money drawer to the robber, who took an undisclosed amount of cash. The robber, who did not show a weapon, then left the store and ran toward Seasons at Bel Air apartment complex.

No one was injured during the robbery.

The robber is described as a white man possibly in his 20s, between 5 feet, 7 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a thin build. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray sweat pants and a yellow bandanna across his face.

Deputies used a police dog to search the area and tracked the robber toward the nearby apartments, but couldn't find him.

Criminal investigators and evidence collection responded as well.
